Aberrant Anatomy Resulting In Intra-operative Bile Duct Injury During Cholecystectomy
Dense layer of fascia covers the ducts of the gallbladder. An instrument grasps the infundibulum and retracts it laterally. A window in the fascia is made exposing the neck of the gallbladder and the cystic duct. Clips are placed proximally and distally. The cystic duct is divided. In the patient anatomy the bile ducts are divided.
