Construction Process Animation

A 3D construction animation showing a time-lapse of a building construction in 1973 that was damaged by Hurricane Ike. This courtroom demonstrative was created to educate the jury on some unique features of a building in Houston, TX that created challenges for the remediation work that needed to be done. The building was created with hollow core plank panels (precast slab of prestressed concrete) for the exterior cladding. The panels are set into pins that are bolted into each floor of the building. The holes were filled with grout around the pins. A cross-section view shows the pin with grout and a foam backer rod. The next scene shows the asbestos fireproofing that was sprayed onto the beams of the structure. This building created numerous challenges for the repair of the building after the hurricane damage.
