This exhibit shows the lateral view of the foot undergoing a cotton osteotomy procedure in order to help create an arch in the foot. This procedure encompasses removing a wedge of bone from the medial cuneiform and the first metatarsal. A bone wedge is then placed in the medial cuneiform and a screw is inserted into the first phalange. Anatomy highlighted in this view includes the medial cuneiform, 1st metatarsal, and the hallux rigidus.
