Left Adductor Entrapment Syndrome with Resulting Arterial Embolism
Anterior view of the left thigh and groin to show a comparison of the normal anatomy versus adductor entrapment syndrome and showing the resulting arterial embolism sites. Adductor entrapment syndrome is characterized by enlarged muscles and a band of fibrous tissue causing severe flattening of the femoral artery. The sites of emboli shown include the superficial femoral, popliteal, peroneal, posterior tibial, and anterior tibial arteries.
