This exhibit shows the posterior, sagittal, and axial views of the spine undergoing a lumbar puncture/spinal tap procedure. This procedure encompasses collecting a sample of the fluid surrounding the spinal cord. Anatomy highlighted in these views includes the interspinous ligament, cauda equina, subdural space, spinal root, spinal arteries and veins, and the vertebral artery and vein.
