This exhibit shows a medial view of the bones of the foot, a ¾ medial view of the bones of the left foot, a medial view of the left foot with the nerves, muscles, and ligaments; and a close-up view the heel. In this close-up view, we include the skin of the patient as well as the heel pad (soft tissue structure formed of adipose tissue that overlies the inferior and posterior aspect of the calcaneus, as well as the proximal plantar fascia).
