Surgical Cystoprostatectomy with Formation of Neobladder
This medical exhibit shows the surgical view of a patient undergoing a cystoprostatectomy and the formation of a neobladder using a da Vinci robot. In this procedure, the ureter is transected away from the bladder in order to remove the bladder and the prostate. A neobladder pouch is then formed from a resection of the small bowel and the pouch is attached to the urethra and ureters.
