Transanal Ultrasound-Guided Ligation of Hemorrhoids
The sagittal view of the distal rectum and anus undergoing a transanal ultrasound-guided ligation of hemorrhoids. In this procedure, the THF instrument is inserted into the anus and a ligation needle holder is inserted through the instrument. Next, sutures are placed in order to ligate the hemorrhoids and the sutures are then used to draw the hemorrhoid up into the rectum, creating hemorrhoidopexy.
